He is our Sales Manager and monitors the progress and implementation of all sales ensuring the customers get exactly what they require. Des Haines Des started at SBM very much as a junior and has steadily progressed through the company to become a joint director with John. These years have given him the knowledge to be totally conversant with all aspects of the workings of SBM, and he manages and co-ordinates the day to day running of the company and he continues to have a hands on approach to the workshop. Eileen Halligan Eileen has been with SBM for four years and manages the company’s accounting. She came to us with a wide knowledge of companies both large and small. Grant McNeil Grant is SBM’s Senior Technician who heads our busy Service and IT Departments. Grant’s servicing career extends over 30 years, both in Europe and New Zealand, and has covered an extensive range of familiar office equipment brand names. Margaret Allen Margaret is our receptionist and has been at SBM for ‘quite a while’. She very frequently will be your first contact with SBM on the phone or at the counter, directing your request for machine information to the appropriate department, dealing with product supply requests and dispatch, along with logging service calls and time co-ordination for these. Mark Sutherland Mark is a relative newcomer to SBM. He has had many years of marketing and one on one selling experience dealing with office equipment from the humble stapler to high end of the market corporate printing and IT machines. Michael Gorman Michael is our most versatile technician. He has been in the office equipment servicing business for 40 years – right back to the Dot Matrix equipment. He carries out repairs both in the workshop and in the field. No job, however small, is unimportant to Michael. If possible, he will fix it. Michael Myers Mike is the newest and youngest entrant to SBM. He started his career in the travel industry and subsequently moved to a company involved with the sourcing and supplying of parts for copiers and printers. This soon prompted his interest in the destination and use of these products which meant technical training was required.
